Will Revelation’s trumpets sound again?
What is the meaning of the sounding of the seven trumpets in Revelation? Was it merely that we might review a history lesson? Or is there more?
In Trumpet after Trumpet, Dr. Erwin Gane presents a careful study of Revelation 8:2-11:19. Using a philosophy of history approach, he makes his case for a dual interpretation of the trumpets. Allowing the Bible to be its own expositor, and by tracing symbols in both the Old and New Testaments the author expands on the traditional historical interpretation of the Adventist Church.
Dr. Gane states, “I believe that God’s intention is that we might understand the nature of the events that will occur between the end-time close of probation and the second coming of Jesus. That at that time there will be a series of events which in type, not in specific detail, will be similar to the events that occurred historically.”
Using historical references, Bible passages, The Great Controversy, and other Ellen White books, Dr. Gane lays out what the people of God can expect to pass through from the close of probation till the second coming of Jesus.
Trumpet After Trumpet will instill in your heart a desire to seek the Lord earnestly in preparation for the challenging events about to burst upon our world. .
